Does Couponing Really Help Or Is It A Waste Of Time?
To coupon, or not to coupon? That is the question. On one side, there’s that person who has the patience to go through all those catalogs and find coupons and on the other side, there’s that person who finds it tiresome or just simply doesn’t have the time. However, no matter what side of the coupon spectrum you’re on, couponing does help and when you’re saving money, is it really a waste of time? Many people will defend their laziness by saying things like, “it just takes too long! It’s a waste of time! It doesn’t even really make a difference!” Well, yeah, if you do it just once then getting that 20 lb. Tub of cat litter for $2 cheaper doesn’t really make a difference. However, if you get a 20 lb.. Tub of cat litter twice a month, that’s $4 a month, which is $48 a year and if you have your cat for let’s say, 10 years, then that’s $480 you would be saving.
I don’t know about you, but that extra $4 a month you’re saving can essentially go towards something important in the long run. So to answer the question: Does couponing really help or is it a waste of time? Well, the whole purpose of couponing is to save money, and they say time equals money so, if you’re saving money then aren’t you actually saving time?
